No. The app gives educational estimates only based on simplified, published tax figures (rule version 2026-JP-MVP). Real tax depends on your municipality and full situation. Always confirm with the National Tax Agency, your municipality, employer, or a tax professional.
Resident tax is billed on the previous year’s income, usually from around June of the following year. In your first year in Japan it’s often near zero, then begins the next cycle — the app’s Resident Tax Shock forecast shows when and how much.
Open the app → Settings → “Restore purchases,” or tap any Pro feature and choose Restore on the paywall. Make sure you’re signed in with the Apple Account that bought the subscription.
Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Everything is stored on your device. Settings → “Delete all local data,” or delete the app, removes it completely.
